Arena Accounting
Arena Accounting is an accounting firm in Moore, Oklahoma. It works mainly with owners of small and midsize companies, and it also serves individual taxpayers. The firm acts as an outsourced finance department for its clients. A single team handles bookkeeping, tax work and payroll, so clients do not need separate vendors for each. Buyers comparing payroll providers should note that Arena offers payroll as an add-on to its accounting relationships. It is not sold as a standalone software subscription.
Payroll Services
Arena's payroll offering is built to sit alongside a client's books and tax filings. The firm processes each pay run, calculates wages, handles employee withholdings and helps employers meet their payroll tax duties. The same people who process payroll also maintain the ledger, so payroll costs and liabilities move into the books without being re-keyed.
The firm says this reduces errors and the mixed messages that can arise between separate providers. Payroll figures also feed into tax return preparation and year-round tax planning.
- Payroll processing for employee teams
- Wage calculation and withholding management
- Support with payroll tax compliance
- Recording of payroll costs and liabilities in the general ledger
- Use of payroll data in tax preparation and planning
Accounting and Tax Work
Beyond payroll, the firm provides ongoing bookkeeping. This covers categorizing transactions, reconciling accounts and producing monthly financial statements. Arena prepares and files returns for companies as well as individuals. It also runs a tax strategy practice that uses current financial data and profit-and-loss analytics to find savings before filing season.
Its main bundle, called Bookkeeping+, combines bookkeeping, business returns, tax strategy and quarterly review calls for a flat monthly charge. Payroll, deeper P&L analytics and financial consulting are available as optional extras. According to the firm, bundled clients generally save about 15 percent compared with buying bookkeeping and tax services one at a time, and roughly 30 percent on personal return preparation. The firm says it adds no surprise charges.
Industries and Approach
Arena reports experience with construction and the skilled trades, medical practices, hospitality, franchise operations and professional services firms. New engagements begin with a no-cost consultation to review where the business stands and whether the fit is right. The firm then builds a customized plan that connects bookkeeping, tax strategy and financial goals.
After that, the team stays in regular contact and revises the plan as the client's situation changes. Clients can log in to a secure portal through the firm's website.
Background
The firm cites more than two decades of experience and says it has worked with dozens of clients in a range of sectors. Its founders had been clients of six separate accounting firms and found the industry too reactive and fragmented. They designed Arena around clear communication, forward planning and personal relationships.
The practice was previously known as CMM Financial Services and has since rebranded as Arena Accounting, keeping the same team and Moore office. Its stated values emphasize clarity, proactive planning, accuracy and integrity. Client testimonials on its site mention detailed analysis and meaningful tax savings.

Chancellor & Chancellor, Inc.
Chancellor & Chancellor, Inc. is a certified public accounting firm based in southwest Oklahoma City. It works with business owners, executives and independent professionals, along with individual taxpayers, companies of varying size and other agencies. Payroll is one part of a wider accounting and tax practice, so employers can keep wage processing, bookkeeping and tax matters under a single firm instead of spreading them across several vendors.
Payroll Options
The firm recognizes that employers handle wages in different ways and offers two main processing models. With its after-the-fact payroll service, a business continues writing its own checks by hand, then hands over those records so the firm can enter them into its system and take care of reporting.
With online payroll processing, the employer logs employee hours and earnings through a secure web connection, prints checks right away on an in-office printer and can pay staff by direct deposit, which is included in the service.
Under either model, clients receive:
- Federal and state payroll tax reporting handled by the firm
- Tax deposits made through the EFTPS system
- Monthly, quarterly and year-end payroll tax reports
- Preparation of W-2, W-3 and 1099 forms
- Organized, up-to-date payroll records
Employers with more specialized reporting needs can add union reports, certified payroll and workers' compensation reports for an extra charge. Fees are quoted individually after the firm learns about the size and structure of the business, rather than through a fixed published schedule.
Help With Payroll Tax Trouble
Beyond routine processing, the firm represents companies that have fallen behind on employment tax obligations. It stresses that the IRS treats unpaid withholding very seriously, that penalties in this area grow quickly, and that collection can extend to seizing business assets.
For that reason, it advises owners in arrears not to face the agency alone and offers consultations to work out a resolution. Related tax resolution work includes audit representation, unfiled returns, back taxes owed and retrieval of IRS account files.
Broader Services
Payroll clients can also draw on the firm for small business accounting, compilations, cash flow management, help with bank financing, business valuation and setting up new businesses. On the tax side, it handles return preparation and forward-looking tax planning for both individuals and business owners. A client portal and a secure file-sending tool are available for exchanging documents.
Background
The practice is led by three CPAs from the Chancellor family: Harry, Kent and Collin Chancellor, supported by front desk staff. The firm belongs to the American Institute of CPAs and the Oklahoma Society of CPAs. It describes its approach as built on professionalism, responsiveness and quality, with each client receiving direct personal attention.
For buyers comparing payroll providers, the main distinction is that wage processing is delivered by licensed accountants who can also manage the related tax filings, bookkeeping and any IRS issues, which may suit small employers that want one accountable advisor rather than a standalone payroll platform.

Eaton Business Solutions
Overview
Eaton Business Solutions LLC is a locally owned financial services firm in downtown Moore, Oklahoma, that works mainly with small business owners. It combines payroll processing with bookkeeping and income tax work. A company can therefore keep wage records, general ledger activity and tax filings with one provider instead of coordinating several outside vendors. The firm's stated aim is to lift recordkeeping pressure off owners who would rather spend their time serving clients and running daily operations.
Payroll and Bookkeeping
Payroll is offered alongside bookkeeping as a combined service line. The firm does not sell a fixed, one-size plan. It builds each arrangement around the needs of the individual business, so an employer can pair payroll support with ongoing accounting work or choose only the pieces it needs.
The emphasis is on making routine financial administration more efficient and less stressful, with staff guiding owners through the more complicated parts of managing company money. This structure suits employers that want payroll records tied directly into their books and tax planning rather than kept in a separate system.
The firm's core offerings include:
- Payroll services for small businesses
- Bookkeeping and accounting support
- Income tax preparation
- Income tax planning
- Consultations for prospective and existing clients
Tax Planning and Preparation
For tax work, Eaton Business Solutions takes a forward-looking approach that covers year-round planning as well as annual filing. Its team works to keep clients in line with local, state and federal rules. It also identifies the deductions and credits a client legitimately qualifies for, with the goal of lowering the amount owed within the law.
Planning and filing are shaped around each client's circumstances. Payroll taxes and income taxes are closely linked, so having one team handle both can help an employer see how wage decisions affect its overall tax position.
Working With the Firm
Prospective clients start by sending an inquiry through the firm's website. The inquiry form lets them indicate interest in bookkeeping, payroll, tax preparation, tax planning or a consultation, and request an appointment. The site also provides a client log-in area.
The office is on West Main Street in Moore, which makes in-person meetings practical for businesses in Moore and the wider Oklahoma City metro area. The firm points to the economic shifts since 2020 as a reason dependable, up-to-date financial information now matters more for small companies facing changing costs.
Background
Hope Eaton founded the business. She is a Moore native and a graduate of Moore High School. She earned a bachelor's degree in sociology and anthropology from Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri. She then returned to Oklahoma and held roles ranging from social work to independent insurance sales. She later settled on helping local companies improve their success and profitability.
Her client-facing experience and deep local roots shape a practice built around personal service to the community where she was raised. For Moore-area employers who want a small, hands-on payroll and bookkeeping partner rather than a national processing platform, the firm offers a local alternative.

HBC CPAs & Advisors
HBC CPAs & Advisors is a certified public accounting practice based in Oklahoma City and licensed in Oklahoma. The firm brings tax work, accounting, and business advisory support together in a single office. Its clients include owners of small companies, executives, self-employed professionals and non-profit organizations. For employers in Yukon and across the Oklahoma City metro, the firm offers payroll processing handled by accountants rather than by a stand-alone software vendor.
Payroll Processing Options
The firm recognizes that employers manage wages in different ways, so it offers three distinct payroll arrangements:
- Full-service processing: the firm runs each pay cycle and produces paychecks by laser printer on blank stock that meets Federal Reserve encoding standards. Direct deposit is also available.
- After-the-fact payroll: this suits businesses that write their own checks by hand. The firm enters those figures into its system and handles the compliance work that follows.
- Online processing: the employer submits hours and earnings over a secure web connection and prints checks on an in-house printer. Direct deposit is included with this option as well.
All three options include federal and state payroll tax filings and EFTPS deposits. The firm also prepares monthly, quarterly and year-end reports, including 1099s, W-2s and the W-3 transmittal. It tracks employee accruals for vacation, sick and personal time, files mandatory new-hire reports and keeps payroll records organized.
Specialized Reporting and Compliance
Beyond routine pay runs, HBC prepares many of the one-off filings that government agencies request from employers. It supports clients through audits by Social Security, child support agencies and workers' compensation carriers, as well as unemployment claims. It also processes W-2/W-3 and 1099/1096 forms and helps complete federal and state registration paperwork. Union reports, certified payroll and workers' compensation reporting can be added as optional extras.
The firm also works with employers who have fallen behind. Its tax resolution practice represents businesses with unpaid or late payroll taxes before the IRS. The firm treats these cases as urgent because the agency pursues such debts aggressively and penalties build quickly. Related help covers IRS liens, levies, seizures, installment arrangements and offers in compromise.
Broader Accounting Support
Payroll clients can also use the firm's other business services. These include small business accounting, part-time CFO engagements, strategic planning, internal controls work, and audits, reviews and compilations. HBC has a strong QuickBooks focus. It sets up the software, trains staff, performs file tune-ups and offers a discounted way to purchase the program, which can help tie payroll data into the general ledger. For individuals, it prepares returns and provides tax planning.
New clients start with an introductory consultation, after which the firm quotes pricing based on the company's size and the services selected. Ongoing work is supported by a client portal, a SecureSend tool for transferring documents securely, and a monthly email newsletter with tax and business updates. For buyers comparing payroll providers, HBC's main distinction is that the same CPA team manages payroll, tax compliance and IRS representation.

James Dee Johnson & Company CPA's P.C.
Overview
James Dee Johnson & Company CPA's P.C. is a certified public accounting practice in northwest Oklahoma City. Payroll is one of several business services it offers, and it is delivered inside a broader accounting relationship rather than as a stand-alone processing operation. An employer can therefore use a single provider for wage processing, bookkeeping, tax filings and advisory support. The client base spans small and mid-sized companies, business owners, executives, independent professionals and individual taxpayers.
Payroll and Related Services
On its business services menu, payroll sits beside small business accounting, bookkeeping and part-time CFO support. Penni Coykendall, an enrolled agent and staff accountant, holds the title of payroll manager, so employers have a specific person associated with that function. The firm also assists when payroll taxes have created trouble.
Its tax relief practice covers payroll tax problems along with IRS liens, levies, wage garnishments, seizures, payment plans and offers in compromise. For an employer, the advantage is that the people who prepare payroll can also help respond to a notice or an unpaid balance.
- Payroll services for business clients
- Help resolving payroll tax problems with the IRS
- Bookkeeping and small business accounting
- Tax preparation and planning for businesses
- QuickBooks setup, training, tune-ups and answers to user questions
- Part-time CFO services, cash flow management and business advisory work
The firm describes QuickBooks as an ideal accounting package for small and mid-sized businesses, and it has built a dedicated service line around the software. That is useful for employers who maintain their financial and payroll records there. The website also gives clients access to a secure portal and a hosted Swizznet login.
Industries Served
The firm points to specialized knowledge in several fields:
- Construction
- Dentistry
- Healthcare
- Hospitality
- Law firms
- Manufacturing
- Real estate
Non-profit organizations are also among its clients, and it helps founders with new business formation, an ideal moment to establish sound payroll practices. Further business services include reviews and compilations, forensic accounting, business valuation, bank financing, succession planning, internal controls and litigation support. Individuals can turn to the firm for retirement, estate and personal financial planning, elder care and wealth management.
Team and Background
The staff mixes CPAs and enrolled agents, several with long histories at the practice.
- Robert W. Byers, CPA, graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1979. He oversees tax planning and preparation and manages the firm's work in those areas.
- Jennifer A. Driskill, CPA, MBA, started in April 2002. She manages bookkeeping, prepares returns, consults and trains clients on QuickBooks. Her degrees come from Pittsburg State University and Oklahoma City University.
- Terry L. Thompson, EA, is a lifelong Oklahoma City metro resident who serves as administrative manager, tax preparer and QuickBooks ProAdvisor.
- Penni Coykendall, EA, joined in 2007 and earned her enrolled agent credential in 2016. Besides her staff accountant duties, she runs payroll.
The firm states that its mission is to keep clients financially stable now while working proactively toward later goals, supported by open communication and careful analysis. It describes its rates as affordable and invites prospective clients to a free first consultation. Employers seeking payroll from an accounting team that can also handle taxes and advisory needs may find that combination appealing.

Kyle Johnson CPA PLLC
Overview
Kyle Johnson CPA PLLC is a certified public accounting practice in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Its office is on the Post Road corridor near Tinker Federal Credit Union. Kyle Johnson, the CPA the firm is named after, runs the practice. It works with small companies, corporations and partnerships that want one accounting professional to handle payroll along with tax and bookkeeping.
Some employers in the eastern Oklahoma City metro would rather work with a local CPA than a national payroll platform. For them, the firm offers a combined setup where payroll records flow straight into the books and into year-end tax work.
Services
Payroll is one of the main services the firm lists. It is part of a wider set of compliance and accounting services. Buyers comparing providers will find these areas covered:
- Payroll processing
- Bookkeeping
- General accounting
- Business filings
- Tax return preparation
- Broader tax services
- Handling notices and letters from the IRS
- Ongoing IRS correspondence for clients
The same office handles payroll, bookkeeping and tax filings, so wage data, ledgers and returns all stay in one place. That can help owners who want fewer vendors to coordinate. It can also help businesses that get notices from tax authorities and need someone who already knows their records to respond. The firm also has experience with IRS debt relief, so it may suit employers who are resolving back-tax problems.
Industries and Specialties
The practice focuses on tax work for corporations, small businesses and partnerships. It lists industry experience in real estate, construction, the automotive sector and professional services firms. Construction and auto businesses often have hourly crews, mixed pay structures or commission plans. That makes an accountant who knows those fields worth considering for buyers in those trades. Kyle Johnson is also a QuickBooks ProAdvisor. This means he knows a small-business accounting platform that many employers use for their books and payroll.
Background and Credentials
Kyle Johnson has more than a decade of public accounting experience. He is a 2005 University of Central Oklahoma graduate with a bachelor's degree in accounting. He did graduate coursework at Oklahoma City University from 2005 through 2008 and passed the CPA exam in 2008. His first role after school was as a senior auditor for Tinker Air Force Base.
While working on Department of Defense audits, he volunteered for several trips to the Middle East. He holds the Certified Defense Financial Manager designation, served in the U.S. Army and is an active member of the Oklahoma Society of CPAs.
For buyers, the firm stands out in three main ways: a licensed CPA oversees payroll, the owner has a long background in federal auditing, and one local office covers payroll, accounting and IRS problem resolution. Businesses near Tinker Air Force Base and across Midwest City may find the location and the owner's defense-sector experience especially relevant. Employers who want their payroll handled by the same advisor who prepares their returns may find this small practice a practical fit.

Martin & Stephens, PC (formerly H. G. Martin, Jr., P.C., C.P.A.)
Overview
Martin & Stephens, PC is a small, locally owned certified public accounting practice in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Its website is still published under the H. G. Martin, Jr., P.C., C.P.A. name. The firm offers payroll processing alongside tax preparation, bookkeeping and financial reporting. That makes it a fit for employers who would rather keep wage administration, books and tax filings with one accountant instead of splitting them across several vendors.
Background and team
Founder Hank Martin started the practice in 1983 together with his wife, Susie. Over the following decades Hank built and mentored a staff of seasoned accountants, and the firm took an active role in its hometown. When he retired, leadership passed to Brian Stephens, a CPA who had worked at the firm for more than twenty years. The team page still recognizes Hank as founder and credits him with over four decades in the profession.
Brian Stephens is the certified public accountant on the current roster. He is supported by:
- Jaclyn and Shannon, staff accountants with ten-plus years each
- Estefany, a tax accountant
- Lesly, a dedicated payroll accountant with eight-plus years at the firm
Alexis, Becky and Elias are also named on the site. A staff member focused specifically on payroll is useful for buyers who want a consistent contact for wage questions. A bilingual staff member can be scheduled by appointment.
Services
The firm groups its work into accounting, tax and advisory categories. Its listed services include:
- Payroll services for business clients
- Bookkeeping
- Individual tax preparation and planning
- Tax work for partnerships, S corporations and LLCs
- Accounting and tax support for non-profit organizations
- Preparation of financial statements
- Trust and estate matters
The site notes that this list is not exhaustive and invites prospective clients to call about needs not shown. It does not describe specific payroll software or tiered payroll packages. Employers comparing providers should ask directly about pay frequency, filing support and direct deposit options.
Who they serve and how they work
Clients range from individuals and sole proprietors to corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships, non-profit organizations and trusts. The firm emphasizes long-term relationships over seasonal transactions. It treats each engagement as a kind of partnership, offering tax-saving ideas throughout the year rather than only at filing time.
Under Brian Stephens, the stated approach is to keep taxation and business development straightforward and give each client individual attention. The firm also aims to show owners a clear picture of their finances and tax position so they can concentrate on running their operations. Fees are described as fair and competitive, with services shaped around each client's situation.
Because the office is small and local, clients typically work with the same familiar staff over time. The firm keeps weekday business hours, extends them during tax season and also meets by appointment. Some Midwest City employers may want a payroll provider that is part of a full-service CPA practice rather than a standalone processing platform.
For them, Martin & Stephens offers more than four decades of local history and a team that handles payroll, books and returns under one roof.

Michele L Brenner & Company, PC
Michele L Brenner & Company, PC is a Certified Public Accounting practice based in Moore, Oklahoma. It holds an Oklahoma license, and its CPAs carry current state certificates. Payroll is part of a wider set of accounting, tax and advisory work, so employers can have wage processing handled by the same people who keep their books and file their returns. The firm mainly serves business owners, executives and independent professionals, and it also takes on some individual matters.
Payroll Expertise
Payroll is listed as a core business offering, and a staff member is dedicated to it. Loretta McKaughan, the firm's Payroll Specialist, has worked in corporate accounting and payroll since 2002. She handles complex payroll questions and also works in QuickBooks.
Because she does both payroll and bookkeeping, clients can hand off much of their back-office administration and spend their time on running the business. For employers who have fallen behind on withholding or deposits, the firm's tax resolution practice specifically covers payroll tax problems with the IRS.
- Payroll processing for small businesses
- Resolution of payroll tax problems
- Small business bookkeeping and accounting
- QuickBooks setup, training, troubleshooting and tune-ups
- Discounted QuickBooks purchases through the firm
- Part-time CFO, cash flow and bank financing support
Broader Business and Tax Services
Beyond payroll, the firm advises on business valuation, strategic and succession planning, internal controls and forming new entities. On the tax side it prepares returns, plans ahead, and represents clients with a wide range of IRS problems, including audits, unfiled returns, unpaid balances, liens, levies, wage garnishments, seizures, installment agreements, offers in compromise and innocent spouse relief.
For individuals, it helps with estate planning and elder care. Companies with payroll compliance problems can have both the remediation and the ongoing processing handled in one place.
Leadership and Background
Founder and Practice Manager Michele L Brenner, CPA, has worked in public and corporate accounting since 1991. Before founding her practice, she was Controller for an international corporation and a cost accountant at a large manufacturer, and she has also run her own small business. Her current focus is tax planning and preparation, business consulting and representing clients before the IRS. That corporate finance background helps her address the operational and tax questions that come with having employees.
How Clients Work With the Firm
The practice describes itself as approachable, experienced and reasonably priced. Prospective clients can request a free first consultation. Existing clients get a password-protected online portal where they can store and retrieve financial records at any time. A separate secure upload page lets anyone send files without creating an account. The website also offers tax calculators, due-date calendars, record retention guidance and a monthly newsletter.
For Moore-area employers comparing payroll providers, this firm offers a payroll specialist working within a CPA practice that also handles QuickBooks, bookkeeping and IRS representation. It may suit small businesses that want payroll tied closely to their accounting records and tax compliance rather than handled by a standalone payroll vendor.

Millennial Accounting
Overview
Millennial Accounting is a CPA-led tax and accounting firm with an office on South Douglas Boulevard in Midwest City. It serves business owners throughout the greater Oklahoma City metro. Alongside its tax work, the firm runs payroll for client companies. It presents outsourced payroll and bookkeeping as an economical alternative to keeping an accountant on staff.
Its core audience is small businesses, particularly those generating under roughly one million dollars in yearly revenue, though the firm says it works with companies of varying size.
Payroll and Back-Office Support
For employers, the firm takes over the recurring work of paying staff correctly and on schedule. It also keeps payroll tax obligations in line with current rules. Services are delivered online and remotely, so clients do not need to visit the office for each pay cycle.
The website gives employers and their workers separate payroll portals, plus a general client portal, which points to a largely digital workflow. Because the same team also prepares business returns and handles tax disputes, payroll clients can keep compliance, bookkeeping and year-end filing with one provider. Key offerings relevant to payroll buyers include:
- Outsourced payroll processing for small and growing employers
- Payroll tax compliance support
- Remote and virtual bookkeeping and accounting
- QuickBooks assistance
- Resolution of tax problems with the IRS and state agencies
Broader Services
Beyond payroll, Millennial Accounting prepares individual, business, partnership, corporate, gift and estate returns, along with out-of-state filings. Its planning work covers income deferral, investment and retirement distribution strategies, and estate and succession planning. Entrepreneurs launching a company can get guidance on choosing an entity type and forming the business. Established owners can engage the firm for strategic consulting. Tax representation is handled by in-house staff who deal directly with the IRS and state agencies on a client's behalf.
Team and Credentials
The firm was founded by Austin Murray, a CPA licensed through the Oklahoma Board of Accountancy. He also holds the Chartered Global Management Accountant designation. He belongs to both the AICPA and the Oklahoma Society of CPAs and has a graduate degree in taxation and accountancy. He spent close to ten years working for the IRS as a revenue agent, and that enforcement background informs how the firm approaches audits and compliance. The team also includes the following people:
- Holly Jenkins, an Enrolled Agent who joined in 2022 and became a return preparer after earning her credential in 2023
- Robert Dillon, partner CPA
- Kelly Snead, office assistant
- Riley Hargis, front desk receptionist
Working With the Firm
Prospective clients typically start with an inquiry. Staff then follow up by phone or email within a couple of business days to learn about the services needed, the timing and the client's circumstances. They then outline next steps, fees and any required documents. The firm asks clients to wait for a secure upload method before sending sensitive records.
It also encourages callers facing an imminent payroll or filing deadline to flag the date. A free initial consultation is available. Millennial Accounting describes itself as tech-forward and aimed at younger business owners. It supports the local community through parish volunteering and sponsorship of a 5K for people with disabilities.

Payroll Vault Oklahoma City
Payroll Vault Oklahoma City is a locally owned office of the Payroll Vault franchise brand. It works with small and mid-sized employers in the Oklahoma City metro, including Edmond, Spencer, Yukon, Guthrie and Midwest City. The firm's main offer is to take recurring payroll work off the owner's desk: paying staff on time, depositing and filing employment taxes, and keeping up with changing federal and state rules. Supporting services cover HR, timekeeping and risk management.
Payroll processing
Clients choose a weekly, biweekly, semimonthly or monthly pay cycle. The team prepares paychecks and year-end W-2 forms, calculates and pays employer tax obligations, and handles withholdings and other deductions. Employers can pay workers by direct deposit and split wages across more than one account.
Paycards are available for employees who prefer not to use a bank, which saves them check-cashing fees. The firm can also handle compliance tasks such as reporting new hires, sending garnishment payments, and producing general ledger reports or a ledger interface.
A secure online portal lets employers exchange payroll documents at any hour and lets employees view their own pay information. Mobile apps are also offered.
HR support
The HR side comes in three tiers, so employers can add help as they grow:
- HR Online: a self-service library of policies, job descriptions, forms, checklists, law alerts, handbook-building tools, a self-audit, training and newsletters
- HR On-Demand: everything above, plus unlimited questions to certified HR professionals, customized documents and handbooks, and live harassment-prevention training
- HR Complete: adds an assigned HR professional who audits the business, writes a tailored action plan, helps put it in place and consults on longer-term strategy
HR assistance can be provided remotely or at the client's location.
Time and attendance
The cloud timekeeping system connects with payroll and HR, so hours flow directly into pay runs instead of being keyed in from paper timecards. Employers can choose how staff clock in: through a web browser on any device, at a PIN, badge-swipe, biometric or traditional punch clock, by GPS location for field crews, or by phone using a voice punch.
Rules can be set for overtime, breaks and paid leave to help businesses follow federal, state and local requirements. The firm presents this as a way to cut time theft and calculation mistakes.
Related services and approach
Beyond payroll, the office arranges pre-employment background checks and drug screening. It offers pay-as-you-go workers' compensation, where premiums are based on actual payroll, so there is no upfront deposit and less exposure at audit time. It also supplies privately branded federal and state labor law posters with update alerts, as well as merchant and point-of-sale services.
Each client is assigned a dedicated payroll specialist who knows the account. The firm says it does not require annual contracts, helps businesses switch from their current provider, and works with accountants through a dedicated program.

The Springer Company
The Springer Company is an accounting firm based in Oklahoma City that has offered payroll, bookkeeping and tax work since 2014. It acts as an outsourced finance department for organizations too small to staff one of their own, and it works with clients across Oklahoma and nearby states.
Most of its payroll clients are in Oklahoma, but the firm says it can take on organizations in other parts of the country when its systems and licensing allow. It confirms whether a client is a good fit during a first consultation.
Payroll services
Payroll is a core offering, aimed at employers with roughly one to 100 people on staff. The full-service package includes:
- Regular payroll runs for W-2 staff and 1099 contractors
- Payment by direct deposit, printed checks or a combination of the two
- Calculating withholding at the federal, state and municipal levels, then making deposits and filing returns with the right agencies
- An online portal where workers can download pay stubs and tax documents
- W-2 and 1099 forms prepared at the end of each year
- Multi-state payroll, reviewed for each client
- Help understanding notices from payroll tax agencies
- Summary reports for owners and boards, with optional breakdowns by department or location
The firm handles hourly, salaried, tipped and seasonal workers. Where practical, it connects to the timekeeping tools a client already uses, and it only suggests a different tool when it sees a clear benefit. Clients don't have to buy bookkeeping or tax services to use payroll, though the firm says combining them tends to mean fewer reconciliation problems.
Employers who want to keep processing in-house can be taught to run payroll themselves, with the firm checking the results behind the scenes.
How engagements work
Onboarding starts with a look at how payroll is handled today: how often people are paid, what kinds of workers there are, which systems are in use and what problems keep coming up. The firm then writes a service plan, sets up or adjusts the payroll system, and checks or opens the client's tax accounts.
Payroll is processed on an agreed calendar, and each client has a named contact instead of a call center. At year end the team issues tax forms and helps employees get them. It also helps when a client adds new benefits.
Other services and specialties
Beyond payroll, the company offers monthly bookkeeping and reconciliations, payables and receivables support, part-time comptroller work and pre-audit workpapers. It also prepares tax returns for individuals, small businesses, nonprofits, estates and trusts, and it sets up, cleans up and teaches QuickBooks, either one-on-one or in small groups, in person or online.
What sets it apart is a focus on nonprofit, faith-based and small-government clients such as towns and special districts. For these clients it organizes accounts around funds and grants, prepares statements ready for boards and councils, and helps with budgets and audit preparation. Family-owned and closely held businesses that value confidentiality are another audience it names.
The team is led by accountant and president/CEO Jeremy Springer, working with accountant Becky Sondys and compliance specialist Anne Brough. In 2026 The Journal Record named Springer one of Oklahoma's Most Admired CEOs. The firm traces its origins to rural Oklahoma towns and describes itself as a small practice built on long-term relationships. It works remotely with many clients, meets in person by appointment, and runs a blog on payroll, tax and nonprofit topics.
